Everyone who completes a Democracy Academy training joins a community of power builders. It starts with local power building through learning about how the Census, voter registration, data-driven organizing can help grow into mobilization. Democracy Academy is meant to create the long-term pathway to a stronger, more self-determined Indian Country.
Democracy Academy is a free, hands-on civic training built for Indian Country. In one afternoon, you can turn your community’s most pressing concerns into action.
This training experience works through interactive workshops, not lectures. We want you to bring one issue you and your community care about, ideate with community leaders on how to move it forward, and leave with an action. This experience is meant to create a real next step, not just information.
