The Four Directions Native Vote- Indian Country Democracy Academy is an intensive civic leadership and advocacy fellowship program in Nevada designed to teach participants how to influence policy, navigate the state legislature, and build grassroots power.

Four Directions Native Vote Indian Country has been working with Tribes in United States for over 20 years and has continued to seek other options in increasing the Native Vote, we have been successful in SD in the early 2000’s in which Tribes were able to elect a person of their choice.

As we expanded, we seen the Native Vote in AZ, GA, MT, MN, NV, WI participate and elected the candidate of their choice. Four Directions Native Vote Indian Country created and implemented the very first Native America Forum in 2020 that was held in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Native American Indians, lack of dealings with States and Federal elections official did not grasp the totality of the vote. Because Tribes have throughout history been undercounted and this relates to how it affects Tribes and individual Tribal Members not only for funding but for voting.

Because of this we have joined forces with these organizations Fair Count Georgia, NdN Collective, Coalition of Large Tribes, along with our host Minneapolis American Indian Center have established a Native American Democracy Academy.

the norms of voters registered in their districts.

5. Getting Out the Vote:

A. Using a Democracy Training graduates they will be the foundation of setting up and organizing getting out the votes within Indian Country which would include voter education, help line and transportation voters to the polls.

The Native American Democracy Academy will provide an overall educated outline for Native to understand how and why voting matter that have disproportionately and/or inequitably affect Indian Country. By doing so addresses the problem voter participation and having a seat at the table that matters for all funding and social issues.

This problem can only be addressed by the people within the communities, and we will address it by providing the tools to help educate and implement max participation. Addressing these situations we feel our solutions are unique and addresses the innovation gap by using the Census not only to create a better count within the communities, but to show how intertwined it is with voting and using collected data to determine how may registrations are need to meet the norm, but using a newly created data program MoVE will help identify and prioritize districts that unable to participate fully.

We will continue to educate Indian Country now on why it matters but to continue to do so for the next 7 generations.
